Talon BlackThorne, the Silver Tongued

Name: Talon BlackThorne
Sex: Male

Wolf Form: Smaller then his older brother, Bladewolf, but still large. about 5 feet long, and 4 feet tall, he is about the size of a large dire wolf. His coloration is a very deep red, resembling blood after it delivers its oxygen. He has a streak of midnight black fur running from just behind his eyes down to the tip of his tail.

Human form: Standing 6 foot flat, and weighing 175 pounds, he is not the largest of individuals, but, he did inherit his father height, hair, which is dark green with streaks of silver, not from age, but genetics, the ability to read people and his intangible quality of being able to gracefully wade through the throng of people that attended the his fathers high court before the Light invasion.

Lycan: When the transformation occurs, it is incredibly painful for him, because he has a genetic difference from most of the rest of his family. This results in a natural painkiller not being produced as he changes, thus causing him to feel every shift in his body as it occurs. The appearance, on the rare times he changes, is 8 feet tall, and 600 pounds. He is a compact, dense lycan when he turns. His fur takes on the appearance of bright red blood, with patches of swirling darker red fur mixed in.

Powers: He has the ability of regeneration, similar to Wolverine, but, more limited. Yes, he can regrow a severed limb, but, in order for him to regrow something of that magnitude he must enter into a state that is somewhere between a regenerative trance, and a coma. He can, if enough external energy is supplied, and the proximity is close enough, reattach his own head, but, this takes the most energy of all, and, can quite possibly kill him in the process. The ability to heal can also be manifested outwards, towards other people, but, he can at most heal broken bones, not regrow limbs, perhaps reattach them within a rather narrow window, but, not beyond that. He has the ability to manipulate shadows, in a very limited manner. Where Blade can do nearly anything with them, Talon, cannot. He can move through them, albeit more slowly, and shorter distances. He can hide within them, but, he cannot physically manifest them into anything. His strength with shadows, however, is in the mental manifestation of peoples fears within them. He cannot per say, read people minds, but, he can take the fears from his opponents minds, and make the appear, at least to the person, as real as anything. He can feel peoples emotions, and through that, was able to become a very able politician. His mind is his most potent weapon, his intelligence is rivaled by very few, and, to date, has been inferior to none that he has met.

Weapon of choice: A curved blade, nearly identical to a scimitar, except for its flexibility and strength. The metal is a blend of shadow steel, and soul ore. The soul ore allows its wielder to meld a portion of their mind with it, giving it the ability to flex and deflect blows with less effort. This melding also gives the wielder the ability to store memories in the metal. The more memories, the more heart, the better the connection, the stronger the blade. This connection requires a strong, intelligent mind in order to utilize it. He combines this with a bow made from the living bones of a treant, given willingly as a gift to him as his fathers ambassador. This combination makes him a more potent threat then most have encountered.

Personality: He has a strong aura about him, that many mistake for simple charisma or force of will. However, it is composed of charisma, heart, intellect, and the ability to speak to people, simply, yet, effectively. He was raised in a manner similar to Blade, where honesty was imposed as one of the most important virtues in life. He has a loyalty that is rarely seen nowadays, again, similar to his brother. He was trained and instructed by not only his father, but many of the best court orators in the kingdom. His ability to not only speak, but listen, is what allowed him to become one of his fathers chief ambassadors.

History: He was the second oldest of the BlackThorne children. His older brother, BladeWolf, was the next in line for the throne until he gave up his claim to join the Shadow Brothers. As the newly made heir to the throne, and the oldest child their mother still claimed, he was taken under the wing of both his father and mother, in preparation for his eventual ascent to the throne. At the young age of 12, 2 years after BladeWolf had left, he had proven his worth as an ambassador multiple times, he was a veritable prodigy. After another year of training by his parents, he was sent as an ambassador for peace relations to the treants.
Now, unlike the treants from Lord of the Rings, or other movies where the beings are large, powerful, yet slower then molasses, the treants in the shadow realm were, still, large, and powerful, yet, fast, faster then anything that size would seem it could possibly be. They averaged between 10 and 20 feet tall, with the larger bulls able to reach 30 feet. He lived with them, in their own lands, and became a friend of their patriarch, a great giant bull of a treant, who stood 40 feet tall. When an attack of fire nymphs came upon a hunting expedition, the great bull was set on fire. Talon managed to kill the last of the nymphs, and extinguish the fire, but, alas, the burn would prove to be fatal after 3 year. When the giant treant died, he named Talon as a friend to the treants, and gifted to him his body to be made into great works, either of weaponry, or art. Most was turned into art, in the form of musical instruments and carvings, but, he kept some to make it into a great hunting bow, a hunting horn of the finest quality, and, 1000 arrows of the finest quality. He had been 1 year from ascending to the shadow throne when the Light attacked. This, would prove the first time he would see his brother in 10 years, only, Blade would not realize this, for he appeared just after he had been beheaded, and he did not know that his brother could reattach his head, luckily, it had only shifted to be about 3 inches away from his body, any further, even if it had been moved back, and he would have perished. For, even though he could reattach it, if the severed neck is moved beyond 3 inches, his body loses the magical connection. After Blade had slaughtered the force in the room, he had quickly departed with his father. If they had investigated the bodies, they would have discovered his head had reattached itself.
He lay there, comatose, unmoving, and near death, for 3 weeks as his body healed the damage dealt it by the Light. Had it not been for the sheer amount of magical energy in the room, he would have perished from the healing process, a rather ironic death in truth. After he regained consciousness, he remained in the castle for another month, gathering what he could, and then, when he felt the time had come, he set out for where the border with the treants met with the border of the orks. The orks were a far more civilized group then the orcs of the earth realm. They were somewhere between Elves and Orcs when it came down to being civilized. And yes, they are Orks, not Orcs, spelling is intentionally different.

Here, he led a group of resistance comprised of treants and Orks. He grew as a leader and warrior, all the while hoping he could find some survivor of his family. After the Light forces were broken, after many years, he fled with his survivors to new worlds once they realized that the shadow realm was now uninhabitable. After years more of wandering, he has discovered the world where Blade now lives.
