| It had been a few days since Kit had left, she had not given her alpha position to anyone and so Nammia decided to step up to the plate seen as no one else had. The pack numbers had greatly deteriorated recently to the point they were only very few of them left. Nammia would protect them, she would not let them fade away. She padded to the outside of the den house, sat and howled, calling to Blade to meet her and meet her now. It would be interesting, the two of them as alphas, but the pack would be their mutual ground, they would have to work as a team to keep the balance, to keep the pack intact.
She sat and sighed, waiting for his arrival. She hadn't spoken to him since Zigan's funeral, the black rose he had given her for his grave. She still disliked him, a lot, and probably would continue to do so, but this was for the good of the pack, and...she wasn't giving him much of a choice.

| He had passed out under the porch after having glutted himself on a large kill. Of course, first, he had dragged the remaining half of the carcass to the house for anyone else who would decide they wanted a bite to eat. Jolting awake, he discovered that, not only had he shifted into humanoid form at some point, but he was also on his back. The latter he discovered, somewhat painfully, as he tried to sit up quickly, and slammed his skull against the underside of the wooden structure that was the porch. Swearing at the impact, he laid back and rubbed his forehead until the stars stopped spinning in front of his eyes.
Sinking down into the shadows, he re-emerged onto the deck, and, as the shadows dissipated from around him, he looked at Nammia, and smiled. Shaking his head to clear the last bit of spin, he asked, “Hey, long time no see.” He said, still with a smile as he pulled his flask from inside of the black leather jerkin he was wearing. After taking a swig for himself, he offered it to her, “Care for some?” He inquired. “So, whats up?” He said, with a crook of his eyebrow.

| Blade appeared, shaking his head for some reason or another before smiling at her, she didn't return the smile, just took the flask and swigged it back, swallowing with a rather distasteful expression, but, the taste familiar, ''Let me guess...stuff from the shadow plane?'' She had once upon a time shared that very drink with him before, when they got along anyway.
Nammia handed back the flask and sat back with a sigh, ''We need an alpha female Blade, and I am going to take up that role. We are lacking, the pack, even Nayati is passing us in members.'' She glanced to him, ''I know we don't exactly get along, but we can work together for the sake of the pack, that can be our common ground to work on from there.'' She was being normal with him for once, rather than being distant or clearly annoyed. ''I am taking the role whether you say yes or not, but it will be easier for you to agree with me Blade.'' If it came to it she would fight him to take the role, she didn't care about that, she cared about keeping what was left of the pack together.
She sat up a bit and looked around, the place was so quiet all the time now, not the noise of many wolves as it once used to be. ''Also, as head of Cor Lupis, we need to do some training. I think it is just you and I left in the cor.''

| Blade took the flask back as she returned it, nodding to what she said. "Ok, I agree with you on both accounts." He nodded as he spoke. "I cannot say that even I would have elected the two of us Alphas if there were any other choice. Honestly, in a time of peace, on this world at least, my kind have a bad habit of dying out. The warriors, the conquerors, if you will, we get phased out of things, the bureaucrats involved with running things, they view us as too dangerous and unpredictable. The only reason I have survived ruling where i have, is that fighting is ingrained in my people. Here? Not so much, you people like your peace, which, i can understand, but fighting is in my blood. When the fighting is done, and we, again, have peace and everything in the lands, I will probably honestly turn most things over to you." He said, looking her in the eye.
"Not that I have anything against you." He said, raising a hand, hoping to forestall an argument, "But, since it seems rather obvious that you arent particularly fond of me. If we were to have elections for alpha, I would definitly prefer to work things out with you before we took the office. But, since we dont have that luxury, I hope we can work things out on the fly. So, let me start, by saying this. Nammia, I am sorry, I am sorry that I hurt you, I am sorry for being my typical assanine self. Now, whether you accept my apology or not, I do apologize. And, to me, i dont view you as having done anything you need to apologize for, it was all messed up from my end." He finished, looking at her to see her reaction.

| Blade spoke of his past and his 'people' and what not and Nammia nodded from time to time, not particularly interested in it, but as he said he would 'turn most things over to you' she frowned and shot him a look, ''That is not how it works... and I won't allow that, Blade. Joint Alphas take joint responsibility in ALL things, fighting or otherwise. If fights come, I will be there as will you, when peace comes, I will be there and so will you be, it is as simple as that. If you are not good at certain things, than get good at it, work and train your body and mind until you are, being alpha means you have the weight of everyone on your shoulders, so improve yourself to improve the pack.'' She shook her head, she wasn't one for petty excuses like 'it is in my blood' ''And being a lone is in my blood... but yet I am here, and now alpha of all things so Blade, deal with your issues and don't worry, I will be blunt enough to point them out to you.'' She added.
Nammia looked away from him as he apologised to her, she sighed and grit her teeth a little, wondering and well... knowing that if circumstance hadn't led them to this, he would have left that apology unsaid. ''I do not accept it Blade, and that was well overdue and you know it.'' Her voice was calm, Nammia wasn't one to lie, it wasn't in her to forgive easily. ''And you are damn right I have nothing to apologise for.'' She snapped, back then she would have happily done more than just beat him up, he was lucky she only did that. ''But, all is said and done, lets leave it at that and move on for the sake of the pack.''

| Looking up, he matched eye contact with her for a while. "Thank you." he said simply. "And yes, that was overdue, and I apologize, again, for that even though you wont accept it." Taking another swig, he offered it to her again. "Now, my first thought now, is to attack the Nayati pack. But, like you said, we are both Alphas, together, what do you think we should do?"
(I know, short, but, not much really to be said there)

| Nammia frowned and shook her head to the offer of another drink, she looked at Blade from the side of her eyes with curiosity, ''And why exactly would we attack the Nayati pack Blaze? Have you forgotten that we have allies among them, and the fact that they are actually bigger than us now? What has made you think of attacking them? As far as I am aware they have not trespassed on our lands nor have they given us any reason to attack them, or am I missing something?'' Nammia couldn't help but feel as though perhaps this were some personal issue that Blade had, perhaps that was all it was rather than him thinking about the actual pack itself. | |

| He nodded at her words, conceding all the points they made, for they were more valid then anything he himself could come up with. "Ok, so, not attack Nayati. However, you cannot deny that we need to do something to breath life back into our pack." He stated, his mind trying to recall all who were still with them. "A dinner, a, competition, something, as the alphas we are responsible for this." He said, half thinking aloud as his mind worked. "I, could acquire the, stronger, beverages, even though I think I may be the only one who really drinks them these days. Not to exclude you, just, I am the only one who goes out of his way to acquire them." He said, trying to avoid offending her any further.
"Or, or, we could go on an adventure as a pack, those always get fun." He chuckled. "But then the question becomes, where do we go that is really an adventure. From my end, I could get us into a dimension none of us are familiar with. Keep in mind, this is all just spit balling from my point of view." He said, then realized that he had been rambling, and shut his mouth, mind still working, trying to think of things that they could do as a pack to reestablish the lost connections that had occurred recently, what with all of the upheaval that had gone on, people coming, people going, and what not.

| Nammia listened to everything Blade was saying, clearly he was trying to be careful with his words around her, sensible really. She agreed that perhaps holding some sort of event would be good for the pack but disagreed on leaving the lands, ''And if we were to go somewhere, who would be here to protect our territory?'' She sighed, trying to think of the many possibilities they could do, perhaps they could start some form of yearly tradition, a competition within the pack for some form of worthy prize, or status within the pack. ''We need to do something that is for sure, but what I am unsure of. Leaving the lands would leave our territory vulnerable, perhaps we can do something within the lands that would be 'fun' for everyone. We all seem to be competitive in some way, some sort of competition might go down well.''
''As it stands, the pack is unstable and Nayati is growing. We need to try and scout out new members if we can, as well as strengthen our defences.'' Nammia thought of Blaze and the Cor Lupis, of which only herself and Blade remained seen as others had left the pack in one way or another. When she first came to the lands, she had never imagined that their numbers would be as they were now, how time changes things.
