PostSubject: Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe]   Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe] EmptyWed Aug 26, 2015 10:00 am

"Fear reminds us we're alive."

The cave glittered with the likeness of a billion stars burning millions of light years away; but it was known to be a result of the worms and bugs that continued to make birth here, living off of the scum that grew upon the wet roof and walls.
Even within the knowing of a truth that would normally destroy the magic, it's beauty was still a sight to behold as emerald hues looked unto them, casting a glitter upon the eye. Somewhere near by the soft dripping of water echoed. Though it didn't bounce off of the walls as it may have in another place just as dank; instead the small worms insulated the walls, swallowing the sounds and creating a softness upon the ears - the silence was louder still.

A ginger sigh pushed through closed lips  and the male turned his bulk towards the entrance of the cave. Why had he come this way...?
The words of his former mate rang clear in his mind, as did the last look they'd shared. Tender in deliverance but masked by arrogance and the stubborn nature to not back down - that they had in common.
A small part of him was reluctant to stay, etching him to pause as he had. It was that part of him that still pressed hatred upon her. A hatred for stealing his children away and for taking away the small chunk opt peace he still had within himself with it. Teeth clenched together tightly inside a strong jaw.
"What am I doing?"
He asked no one and anyone all at once, whilst turning his head to face absinthe eyes towards a bare stone floor. He hadn't noticed before but he was standing in a small pool of water, one that reflected the stars from above. Absent of intentional thought, the dark coloured male lifted a paw to watch the ripple warp the mirror.
I should have let her call on me first. I should wait.
He forced the paw down wards, causing it to splash himself in the face. Instinct saw him turn to face away and he took the opportunity to begin walking back towards the entrance in which he had come through.

Ears fell back against his crown and a frown formed on his brow. Shoulders rolled with thick muscles as he stalked. Eyes seemingly distanced from reality.
It was stupid of me to come this far. After all, he hadn't even sent out a call for her; and why would he?

PostSubject: Re: Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe]   Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe] EmptyWed Aug 26, 2015 12:42 pm

It was several days after meeting Maylin, over two weeks since she had seen Cayden. The phantom had seen hide nor hair of her son since their encounter. He had probably been avoiding her like most every other creature since her return to these lands and although she was a prideful woman, it wounded her more than anyone might know. Dark eyes held the white outline of what appeared to be a lunar eclipse, what she was named off, looked towards the ground as she moved somberly towards a cave to seek solstice.

Within her mind she reflected on the past events; more so on what transpired between she and Blaze. They were both hurt, she knew that, she had caused that pain. The woman had done what she had promised him would never happen - she ran taking their three naïve children with her in the process. Their father had returned with vengeance to reclaim them and in the process she fled. Wolf was not going to aide her anymore and she was a fool for even listening to him in the first place. What had made her so weak minded? Shadows flowed around her feet, they had been following her as of late but she had not noticed. The hidden darkness around her was also within her heart only she redirected it at all others rather than directed that darkness at herself.

With a drawn out sigh she lifted her head to ensure she was on the right path; not that it was required, she knew where she was going. It was imprinted within her mind and soul that this was her home away from home. The stars within the cave called to her - their diamond and sapphire hue pulling her to them like few others had. It was much stronger now that it had been the very last time she was here..with Blaze. The memory flashed to the forefront of her mind as she recalled the events. They were so happy back then, laughing about antics between members, joking to each other while making silent promised about the future. The memory caused her ears to pin along her head and tears to sting her eyes. Why had she done what she did? Darkness pulled away at that memory and brought to light the time she took their children while Blaze was away with Cor Lupus.

A moment of hesitation was all that it took, paws stopped moving against the lush green grass. Her eyes closed and her head turned away from the entrance to the cave. Why had she come here now? Blaze would not be here, the love she had felt was gone and in its place was anger and remorse. When she heard the heavy fall of paws against stone and water; her ears lifted and her head turned in the direction. Blinking the tears away from her eyes so not to be caught in an emotionally weak moment. She gazed upon Blaze as he moved from the cave- eyes distant but he was there. It was not an apparition or her mind playing tricks on her. He had come, but he did not call her? Perhaps he did not want to see her after all and a part of her wish she could disappear then and there. Unfortunately, the phantom stood out like a sore thumb against the green foliage. Maybe, just maybe, he would pass by her and not say a word. On the other paw, she hoped that he might actually want to talk and they could work things out or try to.

Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe]   Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe] EmptyWed Aug 26, 2015 6:56 pm

"Fear reminds us we're alive."

Light glittered unto the forest floor, breaking through the thick canopy of trees above; but the male hadn't noticed the sun today. Something he often did. Those well known green orbs were looking to the place the brute was walking, but by no means seeing much in the way of surroundings. For the moment he had become totally and completely indulged within his own thoughts that he hadn't even noticed that the walls he had been enclosed within were now gone.
At that exact moment he felt conflicted within himself, it continued to bring with it the feeling of being withdrawn. A walking statue. The triton male had always been a firm believer in "things happen for a reason", but today he wasn't so sure and questions his own morals.

Half of him was telling him that there was a reason he had come here, there was a reason he'd not called Eclipse; though the two didn't correspond to one another - but perhaps it was the sting of phantom stench she had left behind. Her perfume had consumed his rational mind the minute he'd stepped foot near the cave and surrounding forest and he could tell she had been making these caves her home.
-But they're cold and wet.
He contested his own realisations. Surely she'd have chosen somewhere warm and dry. in response to the suggestion his head raised and those same distant eyes became aware of all around - and he looked. He looked for a place, a dry one, that she could make her own; and stopped. His paws halted and all at once he stopped and looked upon the ground, "Perhaps she doesn't feel she deserves a dry place." He realised aloud.
The thought made him ache inside, but he also felt a glint of something else. As if he was happy she was feeling remorse for what she had done; and that made him feel guilty.
This is stupid. He was acting like a child. Deep eye brows knitted together as a wave of determination swept upon him. It was time to sort this like the adults they were. It was stupid to bicker like children, foolish to sneak around the edges of a problem instead of diving head first into it and finding a solution; even if it was covered in thick tar.

Without another word or thought his rump fell to the floor in silent protest of his urge to leave and as he raised his head - a mirage. Surely the black damsel in front of him was not real; either that or their link was stronger than he'd realised. the unmistakable sheen across her fur as she walked and the scattered light caught her at the right angle... He breathed deep.
There was a reason he came here today.

PostSubject: Re: Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe]   Stars upon the roof. [Eclispe] EmptyFri Aug 28, 2015 12:36 pm

Ears furled back along the lush fur of her crown as Blaze sat down outside of the cave. Was he blocking her from entering? The wind rustled her fur, combing through each tendril with invisible fingers that soothed and caressed her from the outside it; the breeze while calmed her, also sent a chill down her spine in anticipation of what was about to happen. Her Perfume was carried through the air and surrounded herself before being carried towards her past lover. His scent was strong in the wind around her as well, she could almost taste the testosterone that pumped through his veins, making him the man he was today.  The damsel pondered for a moment as dark eyes took in the form of her former mate. She had always marveled at his strength and wished that she could be as strong as he was. He stood proudly, albeit, looking rather defeated in his position and his eyes seemed to beg the question as to whether or not she was really here this time?

With a deep breath, the woman began to take a few tentative steps forward, much different than the first steps she had made when Blaze and her last saw each other. A part of her feared what he would do if she came to close to him; the other part relished the idea of being next to him once more. The brute had stepped foot out of her home and therefore his musk would be clinging to the gem etched walls and floor to comfort her in the coming days, or haunt her depending on how this meeting went.

Searching for answers within the silence of her mind for several tense heart beats, the woman finally decided to break the silence between them. Tension and unspoken answers weighed heavily in the air around them. "I see you have found where I have been staying." As soon as the words were spoken, the phantom realized quickly how childlike they sounded. Of course he found her, what was she expecting? It's not like the area did not smell of her or that he would forget this place. Immediately, she shook her head and groaned at the thought that she was acting so foolish. "I am not looking for a fight Blaze, what do you want?" This time she questioned with her voice much more sure of herself. It was true, she was not looking to fight on hostility alone but on just cause.

It had been a trying week and after seeing Maylin it gave her hope that she would perhaps find solstice within this land once more. Mathias has returned as well, the brute was set on something per usual but she'd not tamper with his lust for power yet. He would find his way soon enough and Una would potentially have her peace; or a piece of her heart ripped out once again. Either way it was none of her concern even if she had been the one to play the puppets.

Thick tassel flicked behind her idly, swaying side to side as she waited for the male to say something, to ask her anything. While mentally she was ready to answer his questions, after all she had answered Cayden's questions, emotionally she was weak. Her son hated her, one daughter was relieved to have her back, while the third was missing. Where was Mikayla? "Blaze..what happened to Mikayla? I thought you took all of them back? Maylin told me that she is not here? Where is our daughter?" Once more she broke the silence, her voice breaking as she feared she might never find her and hold her close again. A mothers worry spilling over and consuming all other thoughts except of something happening to their smallest child in the worst possible way. "Please just tell me where she is so I can see for myself that she is alright.."

"Fear reminds us we're alive."

A gentle breath of air soothed his skin, combing soft fingers through his fur. Upon it was her scent, how could he have not caught the lingering scent of lavender mixed with a tentative hint of spices that was her perfume. His heart beat quickened within the cage which both kept it safe and entrapped it; whether this was from excitement or anticipation or perhaps anxiety - maybe a mix of everything, he didn't know but the male remained unmoved as the damsel began her way towards him.
Her steps were not careful, but they were artful. Each paw placed with precision and purpose. An emerald gaze remained fixated on her within the silence that didn't feel nearly long enough before she halted.
Her statement might have seemed foolish to any other, but to this male specimen, hidden within it's words were many others. Fear, anticipation, perplexion - and more. All of which mirrored inside of his own breast; and then it was if her own words withdrew the part of her that he had come searching for and words turned more hostile with an air of cautiousness. Benjamin reeled himself backwards, a frown creasing his camped face and he shook his head.
What did he want? It hadn't truly occurred to him. To see you. He might have said; maybe - To speak to you like the lover you were before you had taken away all that was life as he knew and wanted; he might have also wanted to tell her that he wanted her to leave. Though that wouldn't have been entirely true.
Instead he said "Why - " and was cute short with her bombardment of questions about Mikayla and he was flushed with worry.
The brute instantly got to his feet, tail lengthened to stand tall. "She was left in your care." He said wryly and unthinking. "I tried to save her but - " suddenly, he paused and closed his eyes, turning to face away to gather his thoughts from the flurry of anger that had suddenly splurged his mind. Now was not the time to think irrationally and without careful thought.
"I had hoped she was with you." He said, though the words had not come simply, instead squeezed through a tightened jaw.
The thought that Eclipse had not seen their daughter, did not know where she was when Mikayla had been left in her care - not wanting by the father - caused something to stir deep down within the beasts chest. Had she not cared for their daughter? The emotions in a mothers voice would tell him other wise, but the knowing of what had happened and the unknowing of what the four had been through after Benjamin had managed to save Maylin kept his remorse for her at bay - at least for now.
Eyes opened but he did not look at the female before him and ears remain turned towards the skull. Breath that fell from his nose was hard and deliberate and controlled; a sign of what was felt within and he spoke each coming word with a dark deliverance to drive it home within her - as if she needed it. "What happened to her, Eclipse?"
Why could he not look upon her? one might ask, perhaps it was that he might mirror the tears that were within her violet eyes - a look that might cause her to think him as weak; but no - it was fear of what he might hear; fear that their daughter was gone.

It stung her soul to know that he also had no clue where their third child was. The smallest out of the group did not necessarily mean she was to be the weakest as an adult but those first couple months of life seemed to be more difficult for the girl. Eclipse remembered her two siblings trying to tag team her- neither she or Blaze would have them ganging up on her just because she was weak.  Playing was one thing but bullying was another. It brought a small smile to her lips as she thought of her children so young and full of bright life, now dark days had returned to cast a shadow over them and it was primarily brought upon by their mother.

With a light shake of her head, the woman answered Blaze's question silently. "The night you came to take them back I lost all three. I tracked their scents as far as I could only to find them stopping where your and the others scents started. I was not aware until recently that Cayden had not been brought here with you or Mikayla.."x She sighed with defeat "I've been searching as far and wide as I can to find here, even traveling back to the land that.." She broke off, not wanting to stir any more tension between them. "To the area you reclaimed them.." The iridescent woman spoke again.

A lush tassel wrapped itself around her paws in silent comfort that nothing or no one else would provide. The woman had wronged so many in her life when it was never her intention. Manipulated and finally defeated. Dark eyes closed and her head turned to the side. The woman that had once stepped foot here only months ago had changed, the realization of being back within Kumari lands had shifted her emotions far more than she would have liked in such a short period of time. Normally the damsel kept herself in check, not wearing her hear on her sleeve as the saying was. With having seen her children and her love caused a rift she could not patch.

"Fear reminds us we're alive."

Emerald orbs sway to meet with Eclipses form though his head is turned away from her. The look in her own violet eyes gave him answer to question before she could even speak the words; and his heart physically dropped. Tears have welled in his eyes had it not been for the frustration building within.
Ears withdrew to the skull when she told him what had happened but he did not take his eyes from her. So they had follow his scent? But Cayden had assured Benjamin he had been raised by - his head swung around so he could face Eclipse whole heartily "What of Wolf Mortum? Cayden was raised by the brute, if she was not with you, was she not with him in beginning? What happened to him that night?" He bombarded her with questions, it was not with intent to hurt her, but only to investigate what had truly happened that day.
"When we came, and you saw us coming, you took hold of Mikayla and Wolf grabbed Cayden;" he reminded her, "Maylin was left behind only because there were not enough mouths to save her - What happened after?" His words had begun as angry in deliverance, but had since turned to something different as he had continued speaking. Unknowing and unbidden he had raised and taken a few steps toward her, steps that would close the distance between them.
He would not accept the thought that his little girl could be dead; she was the daughter of two alphas; birthed when they were in their prime. Regardless of her size, she was strong, just as Cayden, just as Maylin. There may have been a time when Benjamin would have embraced Eclipse in such a moment, when remorse, guilt and fear pored out of her; but saving his daughter had jumped to the forefront of his mind. His investigation would begin now; and he would be successful with her as he had been with Maylin.

Eclipse looked at Blaze and could see the hurt and angry within his eyes. His questions and accusations were going to enrage her on top of already opening a wound that had never healed. "I never saw Wolf after that night. You came, the hunters came. I followed the scents of your group, Maylin and Mikayla. They were all with you after one of yours snatched her away from me when I turned face them." She said in pain and anger at what he said. His anger would only cause hers to boil up and over the surface despite her trying to keep it in check. It made the fur on the back of her neck and back raise up in defense, though as his words cooled her anger was only dimmed a little.

"I looked for Wolf and Cayden. I found nothing. I looked for Maylin and Mikayla only to discover their scents stopping at the Kumari grounds. Rather than face them I let you take the girls while I tried to find Cayden. I couldn't. Wolf and him had vanished and I only recently discover Cayden had found his way back here to you and..and Maylin." She paused, almost saying the girls but Mikayla was no where to be found. Where was her daughter?

The woman stood up and began to move towards Blaze, veering when she was only a foot or so in front of him to enter her temporary home. Head hanging low and her hears pulled back against her head, the anger gone once more replaced with worry and guilt. "I will find you Mikayla.." She whispered as she lowered herself onto her rump and lifting her head so that her dark eyes could gaze at the gem like stars that glittered in her cave. This place calmed her and gave her peace where nothing else ever had. It was within this cavern that she could think and get some rest from her travels. After meeting with Maylin she had to determine where neither of them had looked so she could in turn, venture further out. "I returned to where it all began in hopes of finding answers. But the scents had long faded, the tracks washed away by the elements. The only thing that remained were the memories but there was so much that night...so much. I could only keep eyes on one at a time and when I would look away another would be taken until I was left barren and alone." She spoke, to no one in particular even though Blaze was sure to have followed her or at least heard her speak. The images flooded her mind and she recalled them out loud. "Days stretched to weeks, weeks moved to months..by that time the girls would have grown. I could never find Cayden, no matter how far I looked. A part of me hoped Wolf would have at least brought him back to you as he would never have been fit to be called a mentor.." She paused and closed her eyes, falling into her own mind. "It was not until I return do I find our son as an adult and full of disdain for his parents. Not wanting anything but for his mother to return to her death bed where he believed her to be; while his sister all but forgot what I looked like until I nearly had to spell it out for her."

"Fear reminds us we're alive."

A sudden frown of deep thought became his entire face. "one of mine own snatched her?" he whispered beneath his breath as Eclipse continued unbeknown to his sudden conclusion. The larger brute had turned his head away from her, but now his eyes sought her forum under thick ad lowered brows, giving a dangerous glare - though not intentional.
As Eclipse moved towards him, Benjamin did not share the same enthusiasm to greet the damsel, instead he readied a growl within that cavernous chest in warning; though it was never presented when she had veered to enter her den. He raised, assuming to follow her as she continued to speak to him whilst moving off.
Before long, her words reflected off of the stone walls; of which, the rock being not of smooth stone swallowed the majority of the tone, but some seeped through  and echoed deep into the cavern.
A moment in her words stung his core. Though he and Eclispe were not at all close in the way they might have been once before, they shared the same offspring regardless of circumstance and to hear the mother of his children speak of one of their own wishing death upon her - he turned to face away, ears coming to meet his skull and eyes falling closed for a brief moment in a bid to forget the words.
Slowly his gaze swept the cavern floor before it eventually landed upon Eclipse once more. "We never took Mikayla. There were but four of us - there might have seemed more to you but that was because of Luna's powers. She can make an object triple or quad ripple. So when there seemed an army at our backs, it was only four." He confessed; and then suddenly he raised, pacing away from her to no where in particular. "If it wasn't us who took her..." His bellowing voice trailed off, fleeing deeper into the cavern than that of Eclipses softer tone. "Someone must have known - they must have taken her knowing that you would think it was me." His head swung rather violently to meet hers, a fiery hatred within his gaze; it was not directed at Eclipse, though it's unmistakable glimmer could not be ignored within the golden ring that had not been there a moment ago which now encompassed his pupil.
He turned swiftly, tail raising into the air, ears coming to stand erect as he raised to his full height, "If what you say is true - someone has our daughter, Eclipse. Someone has our Mikayla."
What ever disdain he had for the female moments ago it had diminished in that moment - the thought of someone stealing their offspring took foothold at the forefront of his mind.

Head careened to look at the ember brute as he spoke. Emerald eyes seeming to change to their golden tone as anger budded within his body. She could see the anger but it was not directed at her, and in her current state of emotion it did not reciprocate through her body. The female still sat defeated, shoulders down and her tail hugged her feet to offer her any condolences. Remorse and guilt would hang over her for the remainder of her life for what she had done. No one, absolutely no one, could make her feel any worse than she already did.

Blaze spoke words she already knew, yes someone had their child. She was not dead, she knew that much. The Queen knew within her soul that Mikayla was still alive as that string, that one cord that lead to the lives of each of their children was not severed. Kyros' was and she felt instantly when their son died. A part of  her heart died that day and no one would ever be able to bring light into it again. While Mikayla's was dim it meant she was still alive. The link mother shared with the other two siblings have grown brighter as she became closer to them. The energy they put of bursting to life within her once she had the concrete evidence that they were well and in front of her, even if one did not want her around as much as the other.

The damsel closed her eyes and thought about what Blaze had said, someone had her, but who. He was up and ready to leave right then and there to find her, leaving all other thoughts of why he might have come to her den in a moments notice. Ears pulled forward from her crown, eyes open to flash a violet gaze at the man. "Maylin has searched and I have returned back to where they were taken to retrace the steps. There is so much land uncharted- if she is as powerful as we believe her to be there might be a chance that she is hiding so we do not find her." While the thought pained her say, the female knew all to well what her own abilities were and Blaze had any number of tricks up his sleeve. Each of their children would be powerful within their own right by birth, Mikayla may very well be hiding just as easily as she could have been taken.

Hopefully the male did not take her words for giving up as that was not something she was going to do. Should she and Blaze be able to band together they could cover far more ground than alone the only problem was, Eclipse still wanted to see her daughter alone just as she had rekindled some relationship with Maylin and Cayden. Although the latter would be far more difficult to bring around, in his own time the stubborn son would find his way with or without Eclipse in it.
