For centuries, the area that has come to be known as California has been a melting pot and safe haven for supernatural species. Shifters, Hellhounds, Okami and Valkyries have been flocking there since at least the sixteenth century, making the area ripe for their kind to flourish. And so the Great Shifter Clans were born, Gaea, Titan and Kyros, living in peace and relative harmony, and secrecy. Kyros was watched over by their coven of Valkyrie protectors. But the peace was not to last. in the 90s, scientists far away had exposed a shifter or two and from their blood had created what came to be known as the Were Virus, a horrible, debilitating disease that turned normal humans into something far more than what they were meant to be, and into something near crazed animals on the night of the full moon. The leader of this mad bunch also settled in Los Angeles, a place known amongst the shifters as Blackmoon City, and formed a clan known as Xenos. Recently, the clan Titan has fallen, and changes have been running rampant in Blackmoon. The second leader of Xenos has been killed, the mate of the Gaean Leader has left him, a mysterious hellhound is on the loose.. and then there are the blood sucking fiends calling themselves Vampires running around, creatures that even the mythical Valkyrie thought were nothing more than old wives tails. What's next?

Will you join the frey? Will you become one of the bitten, or are you already among the natural-born ranks of the supernatural? The path before you is a mystery, and choices abound. Welcome to Blackmoon. Welcome to hell.-
